Rescues Rock Arrives!
2013 saw the launch of the fantastic Rescues Rock Brand. Run by volunteers, and designed to help ANY rescue raise their profile & fundraise by selling bespoke T-shirts. They are not only fun to wear, but also help raise awareness for rescue dogs in general.
These T-shirts have proved hugely popular with our supporters, and we have had to re-order a number of times. Plus it is fantastic to see them in an array of colours at our fundraising events.
Rescues Rock take care of all the ordering and artwork for you and it has been a brilliant way to raise much needed funds

Potter - A Sad Farewell To The Boy Who Made Everyone Smile
Potter came to Epsom Canine Rescue as a 3-4 month old pup in September 2011. Abandoned and picked up as a stray, a bouncy, happy bundle of fun, we didn't really know what cross he was. Only that he loved everyone, and made everybody who met him smile with his exuberance and joy for life. Who could possibly fail to fall for this cheeky man. We didn't think he would be with us for long.
The months passed, Potter grew up, and as circumstances changed he had to move to different foster homes. He went out to a home, but ended up staying for less than a day. No fault of his own, "They had made a mistake and didn't feel he was right for them". So it was back to kennels for Potts.
In Summer 2012, fate stepped in and Potter was welcomed into foster with Wayne & Nina, who had sadly recently lost their beloved dog Tia. Boy had he landed on his feet, and Potter was loving life once again ......walks , play, comfort , love ....and an endless supply of slippers to chew. It was doggy heaven!
Then shortly before Christmas, Potter's front leg became sore. He saw the vets, but given he was still so young (about 18 months old) ,everyone assumed it would soon be fixed. We were devastated when further investigations revealed he had bone cancer, and that the only solution was to remove his leg .
Wayne & Nina began a mammoth fundraising exercise to help cover the costs of his operation and recuperation. Raising over £2,300, with Wayne having a tattoo of a dog & the ECR name his leg.
Potter went in for his operation at the end of January, and then began his recovery & rehabilitation including swimming sessions to build his muscles back up. He quickly adapted to life as a tri-pawd dog and was back to his mischievous, loveable self. Enjoying a wonderful holiday in Devon, walks on the beaches and demolishing his favourite kibble balls once again.
Sadly though, Potter's cancer had spread, and It finally took him on Friday 21st June 2013.
Known affectionately to everyone who adored him as Mr Handsome, and despite never finding his forever home. Potter could not have been more loved, adored and cared for by his foster parents.
We know he will be busy entertaining everyone with his antics at Rainbow Bridge, and making all those dogs that we have lost along the way smile too.
Run free Potts........we all miss you xxx

Christmas Fun Dog Show 2012
This was a fantastic event!!
We had an amazing turn out, a local celebrity and lots of gorgeous dogs and fantastic stalls selling cakes, goodies and other doggy items.
It was a great opportunity for people to meet our hounds looking for homes, as well as catching up with those who have already found their forever sofas!
A great time was had by all, and many guests also took the opportunity to have professional portrait photos taken of their dogs as a special souvenir.
The event raised over £2,000 for the rescue. And our heartfelt thanks go out to all the volunteers and visitors that made this possible xx
