Name: Bennett
Breed: Terrier
Sex:

Male

Age: 6 Years
Colour: Tri-colour
Dog friendly: Yes
Cats: No
Children: 18+

Bennett is a shy and timid little man, but once you gain his trust he is such an affectionate little boy.

He mixes well with other dogs and loves his walks but is quite nervous with approaching strangers so does where a muzzle when he is out, but please don't let this put you off.

He is currently living in a suburban area along with an older female terrier but we do feel he would be suited to a quieter more rural environment with or without a canine companion but would enjoy meeting doggy friends on a walk etc.

He is a super little man and is just looking for a calm and gentle home with terrier experience to work with his anxieties.

If you feel you can help and offer him a place on your sofa, please complete our rehoming application.

All dogs are vaccinated, microchipped and  neutered  where medically appropriate.

Please note that due to limited resources we are only able to rehome our dogs within a 20 mile radius of Reigate.

Name: Billy Boy
Breed: Fell Terrier
Sex: Male
Age: 2 Years
Colour: Black & Tan
Dog friendly: Yes - Needs gentle intros outside and to be the only pet in the house
Cats: No
Children: 12+

Billy is a very handsome and cheeky Fell Terrier, full of mischief and real little monkey!!!

He has had a very poor start in life and was rescued by his previous owners to get him out of a very traumatic situation. They worked very hard with our behaviourists but realised due to their own health issues that they would not be able to offer him a long term home.

He is currently in a terrier foster, but finding life there a bit too frenetic with six other terriers and whilst he is happy to walk calmly with them on lead outside, he would be best suited as an only dog in the house as he finds their vocalisation quite stressful.

He is extremely affectionate and very puppylike in his manner, and can get over excited in play but is very responsive to voice commands and very willing to please. He is quite worried by shouting and fast arm and leg movements and we are therefore looking for a calm and patient experienced terrier home, in a semi rural or rural situation to help him overcome his nerves.

He is a loveable rogue and with some work,  the right home will be rewarded with a fantastic little terrier😊

All dogs are vaccinated, microchipped and  neutered  where medically appropriate.

Name: Daisy
Breed: English Bull Terrier Cross
Sex: Female
Age: 2 years
Colour: White & Black
Dog friendly: Yes
Cats: No
Children: 12+

Lovely Daisy is looking for a new home due to changes in family circumstances.

She is a lovely, exuberant EBT cross who wants to play with everything!!!

Quite a shy girl at first, she soon comes out of her shell and is your best friend if you have a tennis ball or two or three!!

She has boundless energy and needs a very active home, perhaps with another dog to play with but perhaps one slightly older that will help set boundaries for her and help with the ‘off’ switch!!!

Daisy is not used to being left and can be a bit chewy, so we are looking for a home where there is someone around most of the time or a home worker. She is very quick to learn and keen to please and would certainly benefit from a training programme to channel her energy into calmer pursuits like scent training etc.

Typical bullbreed, she adores human company and is an extremely affectionate and loving girlie and guaranteed to make you laugh at her antics!!!

She has been in foster here for a few months now and is a firm favourite with visiting volunteers, all of whom love her character and sense of mischief!!  Daisy does love her bed, so after a day of activity does likes to be tucked up under numerous fleecy blankets with some supper treats and then a session of ear and head kissing follows!!! Not a morning girl, she is often still snoozing when we go to let her out xxx  Please consider Daisy, as she has so much to offer and would really love a home of her own x

All dogs are vaccinated, microchipped and  neutered  where medically appropriate.

Name: Ollie
Breed: Dachshund Cross
Sex: Male
Age: 3 - 4 Years
Colour: Red
Dog friendly: See Below
Cats: No
Children: 16+

Ollie is a small , loveable, crossbreed boy who came into rescue after being found abandoned in a car.

Our vets believe him to be approximately 3 to 4 years old and whilst not quite sure what mix he is , he could possibly be  Mini Smooth Dachshund  cross Chihuahua/Terrier .

Ollie has settled well into his foster home & makes everyone laugh with his antics.  He is currently living with  two other dogs , and he absolutely adores & loves  playing with the smaller female one very much;  but can still be a bit worried & defensive around the larger boy.

He is houstrained, travels well and and settles down happily when left or at night

He loves his walks , doesn't mind the mud or snow,  but can be quite nervous& very vocal to strange dogs and people  Though once  he has spent some time with them, he is usually fine.  He prefers dogs similar to his own size , but remains wary of larger ones.

Ollie loves playing with his toys, especially balls , squeakies and de-stuffing toys & really is an affectionate, happy, fun little boy .  He would  love to live with another small, playful female dog (but its not essential)  , and  understanding owners to  help him overcome his initial nerves with strangers & other dogs.

We would be looking for a semi-rural home for Ollie, with low dog density out on walks to give him time to adjust , and owners prepared to help with his socialisation skills.

He would not be suitable to live with cats,   & small furries  would need to be very securely caged  - as he is very interested in them!

Please give this lovely, dinky little man a chance.

All dogs are vaccinated, microchipped and  neutered  where medically appropriate.

Name: Ben
Breed:

Lurcher/Collie/Staffordshire Bull Terrier Crossbreed

Sex: Male
Age: 2 Years
Colour: Black & White
Dog friendly: Yes
Cats: Unknown but probably not.
Children: Teenage

Please meet ECR's very loving and smiley, Ben.

Ben is still only a baby at just 2 yrs old, and is a Lurcher/Collie/Staffie Cross of Lurcher sized proportions, particularly in height.

He gets on well with other dogs, though his play is a bit boisterous . He is exceptionally fast at running, and can leap very high (even from a stand-still or sitting position), so will need a very secure garden with a minimum of 6-foot fencing.  Ben does need a semi rural home where most of the off lead is in fields as not suited to a suburban park environment

We think Ben would  be good at agility or fly ball, as he is so agile, eager to learn, sociable and very easy to train. Ben is very quick to learn, he wants to please you and he is very, very loving. He knows 'sit', 'come', 'down', 'paw', 'this way' and 'stay' and does a ‘high-five’.

Ben has a wonderfully broad smile and a very bouncy, energetic nature. He will need regular off- lead running over open spaces to burn off some energy. When running off lead you can see there is Collie in his breeding as he runs in large circles and he instinctively moves mid-run into the head down, neck out position you see when Collies are herding.

Ben is a little bit timid when first meeting new people and isn’t an overly confident dog. We are therefore looking for a home that will use gentle methods of training and confidence building to bring out the very best in him.  He is a super boy and wants nothing more than to be cuddled and kissed -tummy rubs are a particular favourite!

In one of his previous homes Ben would sit by his lead to let you know that he wanted to go out for a walk, or would fetch the owner’s walking shoes (told you he is smart!). He adores balls of any description and if out on a walk will not leave his ball.

Ben absolutely loves other dogs, so would make a great companion dog for a confident bitch.

We are looking for a foster home for Ben whilst he finds his forever home as this boy desperately wants to be part of a family and finds being in a kennel quite depressing.

Ben has gone to two separate potential homes whilst with ECR but sadly in the first home the resident female dog became jealous and did not want to share her home with Ben much to the heartache of Ben and his potential adopters. Ben was faultless in the home.

Ben then went on a trial basis to another home where he was equally adored. This family lived in an area where his only off-lead running was in woods where there were Deer. It became apparent Ben has a high prey drive for wildlife and thus could not be let off-lead there at all. As Ben needs plenty of off-lead exercise to burn off his energy levels he has had to come back into the care of ECR. Ben can thus only be re-homed to a family where any off-lead running will not be in wooded areas where there are Deer.

All dogs are vaccinated, microchipped and  neutered  where medically appropriate.
