Poor Lucky has recently come into rescue after been found abandoned in a park, she had not long had pups as her teats were still very large. She was here for a full MOT and vaccination with Doggy Doc David Bradbury and gave him a proper Stafford welcome, including rolling over for tummies, smiling and having cuddles x We had noticed a large swelling by her bottom and such a good girl just stood whilst Dave carried out a full conscious rectal examination and we suspect she has a partial bilateral perineal hernia which will require specialist surgery at a referral centre. Sadly we understand that this is likely to have been caused by her having difficulties giving birth to her pups and can only assume this is why she was discarded :((((((( She is a typical Stafford and is struggling with boarding kennels and true to her breed is everyone's friend, wanting nothing more than fuss and cuddles and will repay you with a generous ear wash xxx  She is a lovely bouncy girlie and would be suited to an active home, please consider this sweet affectionate girlie xx We will be assessing her with other dogs but early signs in kennels suggest she is not keen on small ones, but she is stressed in kennels so we want to investigate this further x

LUCKY UPDATE - Cannot tell you how proud I was of Lucky again this morning. The weather was terrible and she was in the car for nearly two hours but sat quietly watching out of the window. Carlos the referral vet was amazed how friendly and well mannered she was whilst he prodded and examined her rear quarters and had to give her a cuddle when he finished x Surgery is going to be third week in June and she will be staying for at least one overnight subject to how the procedure goes, costings will be in next week and I will pop up a fundraiser x She was such a good girl so we called in to see my elderly mum and once again apart from a 5 minute burst of initial excitement with a new toy, she was so gentle, calm and affectionate and snoozed on my lap whilst we chatted and had coffee. She is such a wonderful girlie and once we have assessed her more with other dogs it would be good to get a home lined up for her before her op xxx

rom the pound and typical stafford is  finding kennel life quite distressing as she is such a people girl:(  True to her name and the breed she really is effervescent and full of beans and likes nothing more than to give everyone a good face and ear  wash:)    She is a lovely, bouncy girlie and would suit an active home where there is someone about most of the day.

She will be assessed fully and have an  mot with our vet Doggy Doc Dave xxx

She is a typical Stafford, loves to be with you and only two speeds, sleep or full throttle!!! She has we think been encouraged to chew sticks which in itself is extremely dangerous due to the risk of splinters or puncture and as such we encourage her to charge around with a toy, which seems to suffice. xx She is the most affectionate and sweet girlie and deserves a warm lap for cuddles xxx
