Bonny is a 10mth old Border Collie that came into rescue as her elderly mum found her too much.

She was very timid when she first arrived, with lots of spooky barking as she hadn’t really encountered very much. However, she has now been in foster with an experienced Collie trainer and her own very tolerant Collie male and has come on in leaps and bounds!

This is an update from Jo her foster mum :- ‘Bonny is a very lively, cheeky pup who loves to snuggle. Very food motivated, keen to learn, with a pretty good recall. Friendly and playful with other dogs, she has mostly overcome the slight resource guarding tendencies with other dogs which are easily managed anyway.

Bonny would be a good candidate for someone interested in starting in dog sports as her ability to overcome so many things that have worried her is promising but would need a sympathetic handler.

Homing wise, best suited to a multi dog home where she can divide her enthusiasm for play between a number of dogs, one other dog would work depending on their play level as she is very constant.

An only dog environment would require daily socialisation with other dogs ie walking group/training group as she thrives on the company of other dogs.’

She is an extremely busy girl and does require an active home that will provide lots of stimulation during the day as she does like to be doing something and can get up to mischief if bored.

She also needs patience to help her with her confidence with meeting different sorts of people and experiencing noises and different situations.
