Name: | Chester |
Breed: | Jack Russell Terrier |
Sex: | Male - neutered |
Age: | 15 yrs young |
Colour: | Tan and white |
Dog friendly: |
Yes - smaller dogs |
Cats: | Unlikely |
Children: | Adult |
Poor little Chester has found himself in rescue as his mum had dementia issues and could no longer care for him. He is a spritely lad for his years and currently enjoys two walks with his foster mum per day for about 30 mins each and typical terrier is very interested in the birds and squirrels and anything edible that has been discarded by the roadside!! Chester enjoys all the home comforts and is happiest curled up on the sofa, in an armchair or on the bed, but if needs must a comfy, snuggly dog bed!!! Like most seniors he is a bit deaf, hearing mainly higher tones so is happy on a long lead out walking and cannot be let off as he has no recall. He does have poorly teeth and due to his age we would not consider having them removed and antibiotics maybe needed periodically - these would be provided by ECR via their vets. Due to his dental situation he does struggle with dry food and is best on a wet diet with some toy breed kibble soaked to supplement it as we do feel he needs to put some weight on x Again he does like the finer things in life and by choice Cesar stew with vegetables or Encore !!!!
He does like little dogs, and gets excited and will play if instigated!! He has been attacked on several occasions by big dogs with his previous owner and did require veterinary treatment so he is very defensive when meeting any on a walk x He loves all people and is very engaging with them but we do not think he has been around children. He has had quite an upheaval in the last 6 months or so and as such does have some separation issues so would suit an active retired home where there is somebody about most of the day. We do not think he has been used to stairs as does stuggle with these but is quite happy to be carried up x He does like toys particularly tennis balls and will encourage you to play with him x Please consider this friendly little chap as he would make a wonderful companion and ECR will undertake to cover his veterinary care via our Epsom and Milford vets so prospective homes need to really be in a 10 mile radius of either Epsom or Milford x
All dogs are vaccinated, microchipped and neutered where medically appropriate.

Name: | Big Bertha |
Breed: | American Bully |
Sex: | Female |
Age: | 5 yrs |
Colour: | Tri-colour |
Dog friendly: | Under assessment |
Cats: | No |
Children: | Adult very boisterous |
Poor Big Bertha arrived in rescue as a welfare case, mutilated ears, bad skin, she had recently had a litter, was still producing milk and had been abandoned in a park at night. She was here for a full MOT and vaccination with Doggy Doc David Bradbury and gave him a proper bullbreed welcome and then sat quietly whilst Dave took a number of skin scrapes from her poor sore skin, quite happy licking her licky mat. She is everyone's friend, wanting nothing more than fuss and cuddles and is happy to have her weekly medical baths, daily eye drops and enjoys a massage with her cooling skin cream xx She is a sweet and affectionate girlie and would be suited to an experienced adult bullbreed home, in a semi rural location with quiet walks x We will be assessing her further with other dogs but early signs indicate she is un-interested and doesn't look for trouble, but finds busy boarding kennels stressful so we are in the throes of moving her into a foster home ready for her spay x
Please note that due to limited resources we are only able to rehome our dogs within a 20 mile radius of Reigate.

Name: | Koko |
Breed: | Staffordshire Bull Terrier |
Sex: | Female |
Age: | 2yrs |
Colour: | Blue with white |
Dog friendly: | Happy to walk onlead with other dogs, can be anxious around males as been a breeding bitch. |
Cats: | No |
Children: | 10 yrs plus as very boisterous ! |
Poor Koko has recently come into rescue after been found abandoned, she had not long had pups as her teats were still very large and she was very underweight. She was here for a full MOT and vaccination with Doggy Doc David Bradbury and gave him a proper Stafford welcome, including rolling over for tummies, and giving him lots of licks and mad Stafford cuddles !! She is a real wiggle monster and typical Stafford loves human company and to be the centre of attention, wanting nothing more than fuss and cuddles and will repay you with a generous ear wash xxx She is a lovely bouncy girlie and would be suited to an active family home, she only has two speeds 100 mph and sleep !!! She loves to whizz around the garden but we think she was kept confined for breeding purposes as totally shuts down in a crate and when she first arrived didn't really know what to do offlead and obviously has no recall whatsoever or really any training including house training which will need to be started again. We would really love her to have a large garden to play in or someone that is happy to use a secure field whilst training as she really needs to be able to let off steam by running around on a regular basis x If you have the time and energy for this lovely girlie, please complate an application x
Please note that due to limited resources we are only able to rehome our dogs within a 20 mile radius of Reigate.
