Age: 3 yrs
Colour: White with brindle patches
Dog friendly:

Assessed well but currently having a phantom pregnancy so restricted with further assessments

Cats: unknown

Nicky was sadly an unclaimed stray and came in having a full blown phantom pregnancy including milk :( She was extremely timid and hand shy when she arrived, but thanks to the dedication of the boarding kennel staff having her in the kitchen at lunchtimes, she has now really come out of her shell xxx She is a lovely, affectionate girlie, enjoying cuddles and interactive play and loves to do mad zoomies around the field !!!! We are looking for a nice calm home, and bullbreed experience would be useful xx

Name: Tilly
Breed: Lakeland
Sex: Female
Age: 4 yrs
Colour: Red rough coat
Dog friendly:

Can be choosy needs to be the only pet - currently in season so assessment on hold

Cats: No
Children: Adult

TILLY - lovely, dinky Red Lakeland girlie full of beans and very confident x When she arrived she had some superficial facial injuries so we think she has possibly been worked in the past. as such she is very prey driven and will require an experienced terrier home. She is a very busy young lady and doesn't miss a trick, a real hedgerow terrier !! Having said this she is a real cuddle monster and loves sprawling out for tummies under her heat lamp. Tilly needs to go to a home as an only pet and is happier walking in open spaces rather than busy suburban parks where there are lots of offlead dogs, she enjoys her walks and is happy to cover a few miles but will be a work in progress on the recall front as she would much rather disappear off on a scent x

Name: Skye
Breed: Beagle cross
Sex: Female
Age: 5 yrs
Colour: Tri-colour
Dog friendly:

Quite shy when meeting new dogs, needs time to get to know them

Cats: Unknown
Children: Adult

Please meet sweet Skye, a 5yr old Beagle cross waiting to come in x Skye had a bad start in life and has been with her family for 5 yrs but is now struggling to cope with a more hectic home. Poor Skye is very timid, and will need a patient and gentle adult home with a routine and time to help work with her to build her confidence and is extremely anxious around new people and in new situations x She is extremely affectionate once she is relaxed in your company and gave me a lovely ear wash x Typical Beagle she is extremely foody !!!! Her mum and dad are very upset and keen for us to find a nice quiet home where she will be loved xxxx She is quite a big girlie, but very finely boned so poss sighthound cross x

Skye has visited HQ several times in an effort to help the transition be less stressful when she finally comes here and she is visibly more comfortable each time. She has started walking with Buddy and despite initial nerves is now doing really well, taking in all of her surroundings and taking time to stop and sniff x We do feel she would be more suited to go as a companion dog with an older laid back four legged friend as a mentor x

Name: Lou
Breed: Patterjack
Sex: Female
Age: 9 yrs
Colour: Grizzle and tan broken coat
Dog friendly:

Tolerates - needs to go as only pet

Cats: No nor small furries
Children: 8 yrs plus

Little Lou is a bundle of energy despite her age!!!! She is the most affectionate girlie wanting cuddles and giving loads of great kisses and ear washes, we are sure she thinks she is a parrot as very keen to snuggle up on your shoulder!!!! When she arrived we noticed that she had a 'dead eye'and upon testing the pressure we noticed it had the start of glaucoma, so felt as she had no sight in it and it would be painful in future it was easier to remove when we spayed her x She is a very slight leggy terrier, weighing about 8 kilos with a broken coat and very long tickly whiskers :p She is quite vocal towards other dogs initially but will walk with other onlead dogs at a happy distance but is best suited as an only pet as she does not like to interact and loves to be the centre of attention !! She has come from a rural background and is quite hunty so will need a secure garden with panel type fencing and gravel boards. She is tennis ball mad and would be happy to spend hours dropping them at your feet for you to keep throwing them for her x She is confident meeting all people, has lived with oder children and a really lovely friendly girl, who would love her own warm lap to snuggle up on x Please give her a chance xxx

Name: PODGE and TREACLE, MOOKIE and MITZI, PEANUT and BARNABY(Reserved)
Breed: CHIHUAHUA - short coat
Sex: Male x 3, Female x 3
Age: 3 - 5 yrs
Colour: Cream and fawn
Dog friendly:

Treacle and Podge are very vocal to other dogs the others are unphased.

Cats: Unknown
Children: Adult

Several weeks ago we took in a family of 6 very traumatised Chihuahuas at midnight following a bereavement. We understand that the dogs had been with their owner's body for a number of days :(( The gentleman lived alone and there were not many visitors, the dogs were walked daily but have not really experienced very much apart from visits to the vets so we are looking for quiet, calm homes for them to let them settle after their tramuatic experience.

PODGE - male, neutered, 5 yrs, the father of the others and the most confident. He is a real cheeky boy with a HUGE character and loves to sit on your lap for a cuddle, and would be happy sitting there for hours;

BARNABY - male, neutered, 4yrs. He is the quietest boy, very polite and does enjoy a tummy tickle. He is quite attached to his sister Peanut and both keep themselves to themselves away from the other bigger personalities so we do feel he will need to go as a pair with her;

MOOKIE - female, 5yrs, we have spayed, mother of the others. Mookie is a sweet confident little girl and like Barnaby thrives off contact with you away from the others. She is very trusting and loves a fuss x Very attached to Mitzi so need to go as a pair;

TREACLE - male, 3 yrs, we have neutered. Quite a nervous boy and takes time to trust, but once he gets to know you his confidence grows and he can be a little monkey - needs experienced Chi home and we feel he would be better going with dad Podge.

PEANUT - female, 3 yrs, we have spayed. A very sweet quiet girlie who loves cuddles. Never far away from Barnabyx

MITZI - female, 4 yrs, we have spayed. Very similiar to Mookie as they are best buddies. Confident for picking up and cuddling. Can all interested parties please complete our rehoming questionnaire, each questionnaire will be assessed on suitability and homechecks will be done.

FOSTER UPDATE ON MOOKIE AND MITZI

Mookie and Mitzi came to stay following quite a traumatic time in their little lives. They are mother and daughter.  These girls would prefer a quiet home as are quite nervous with loud noises and lots of movement going on.

Mookie - the mum is always on the go - she will follow you around once she gets to know you and keep all predators away!! She can be vocal with people coming into a room she is in but soon stops when she realises who it is or with some kind words. She loves nothing more than a good walk - although does prefer pavements to wooded/ grassy walks. Mookie will play with small fluffy toys And loves to fetch and return them!  She is always happy for a cuddle and lots of attention.

Mitzi - daughter is much more timid and will happily stay in her bed where she feels safe - she will come when called but will be inside down by the time she gets to you 😍 Mitzi would happily sit on your knee all day and have her tummy rubbed- she is not very fussed about walks but will come - I usually carry her outside until we get started.

New owners must be prepared to work with housetraining at night as these girls have been used to a cat flap and having continual access to the garden- they are now clean in the house all day but do use puppy pads at the door at night.  They have been left at home with my dog for 2 1/2 hours max following a walk and have been fine .These girls just want to be loved in a quiet environment .
