Name: Hunter
Breed: Crossbreed
Sex: Male
Age: 14mths
Colour: Chocolate with white
Dog friendly: Yes
Cats: Yes
Children: 8 yrs +

Please meet the handsome Hunter a 14mth old crossbreed, we think Springer x Pointer.  Hunter is a lovely affectionate lad, full of beans and very high energy!!   He is extremely bright and very quick to learn and would suit an active home where he is out and about and occupied during the day, can be left for short periods but not suited to full time worker with someone visiting at lunchtime.  He loves doing scent work and is keen on any form of brain stimulation toys, tricks and activities and just wants to please.  He is a very busy dog and his character if very reminiscent to a working cocker.  Still very puppy in his ways, but knows basic commands and has a fairly good recall but can get distracted or spooked so will need work on this front.  He is very agile so will require a home with 6FT FENCING as can easily clear 5ft in pursuit of birds or squirrels!!

Name: Rosie
Breed: Parson Terrier
Sex: Female
Age: 8 yrs
Colour: Tri-colour broken coat
Dog friendly: Yes
Cats: Yes
Children: 8 plus

Rosie is sadly looking for a home due to a family bereavement and subsequent change in cirumstances.  She is an extremely affectionate and knowing little girl, can be a bit timid at first but soon comes around if you have some treats and is a real sweetie xxx

She is looking for a kind and loving home as there has been a lot of comings and goings and she is a bit shell shocked by it all x  She is good with other dogs but has lost some confidence so needs gentle introductions.  She does love to play with toys and is known for mad zoomies around the garden with these accompnaied by the nromal terrier noise :)))) She is happy to be left for short periods as her mum does work part time but does enjoy her daily walks and typical Parson is quite scent driven so will need to be on a training line in areas where there are squirrels and other small furries especially at dawn and dusk when the scents are strong x

A really sweet girlie just yearning to be loved x

Name: Sally
Breed: Parson Terrier
Sex: Female
Age: 14 yrs
Colour: Tri-colour
Dog friendly: Yes
Cats: Yes
Children: 12 plus

Sally is sadly looking for a home as her old mum has had to go into care :(  She is an extremely affectionate and knowing little girl, can be a bit timid at first but soon comes around if you offer her a tennis ball or some sausage !!!!

She is looking for a quiet retirement home with lots of love and company. She is good with other dogs but not keen on youngsters rushing up to her and will politely tell them off, and does get quite jealous over laps and food which she is not keen to share, so would be best going as an only pet whereby she gets all the attention xx She does have poorly joints and is not up for a long walk but happy to potter around in the garden with you and when you are not looking will go off and hide all the tennis balls! She also finds steps difficult so would be suited to a flat area straight from the kitchen door or is happy to be carried up and down x She is great company and easy to have around, happy to snooze by your feet when you are on the computer and for an oldie is very clean and does ask to go out. She is currently on Previcox as an anti inflammatory daily.

A really sweet girlie just yearning to be loved x

Poor Marge has recently come into rescue after she was not collected by her owner from the pound and was finding kennel life quite distressing :(  She loves people and tennis balls, but bless her is quite worried by noises and does get anxious in new situations :( She has bonded really well with Becky and her team and we are hoping to get her out and about gradually to try and build up her confidence.

Name: Max
Breed: Staffordshire Bull Terrier
Sex: Male
Age: 8 Years
Colour: Blue
Dog friendly: See Below
Cats: Yes
Children: 18+

Max is a very handsome 8 yr old blue brindle Stafford.

He is a much loved family dog but is quite an anxious lad when it comes to noises and finds the house with a young child and baby quite busy and a bit stressful. He is a loving and affectionate boy and very good around the children but really needs a quieter, calmer home where he can relax and perhaps one in a more rural location as he does find walks quite daunting if there are lots of other offlead dogs running about.

Max was a mixer in his youth and excelled in classes but had a complex cruciate operation and whilst waiting for this his leg was sore and did get knocked by other dogs which hurt and made him defensive. He was then on extensive crate rest after the op which compounded his anxiety with other dogs coming near him, although it was quite clear from his assessment that he doesn't look for trouble but is just very worried.

We do feel with lots of positive contact at a distance that Max feels comfortable that this can be improved and he can have a couple of doggy friends to walk with and he has been coming on lots of social walks which are all onlead and he is doing really well and walking with 4 - 5 other dogs in a group without any anxiety.

Typical Stafford, Max is a real softie and does like company and we are looking for a home worker or an active retired home that can work on a gentle programme to help him overcome his anxieties and of course shower him with lots of love and cuddles.

Max prefers to sleep in the bedroom with his mum and dad so please bear this in mind if you are looking to apply.

All in all he is an adorable little boy and wonderful companion, so if you have room on your sofa and feel you would like to help Max, please contact us.

Neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and currently living with a cat.
